Myra Tran Biography
Myra Tran is a 19-years old American Idol season 17 contestant who was born and raised in Vietnam.
At the age of 16, Myra participated on the Season 2 of Rhe X Factor Vietnam and it happens that she even won the competition in 2016. Myra is a high school student in the United States and she is in a choir in her school.

Myra had a rocky beginning with his parents since they did not support her singing career. She was inclined towards American music from a young age but her having been born to Vietnamese parents had her share of misfortune.
Her parents could not approve of her singing and so she had to hide from her parents whenever she wanted to sing. This went on until one day when she was by her friends in school and they encouraged her to pursue her dream.

During the premiere episode, Myra revealed that she and her parents moved to American in order for her to pursue her dream. “When I was a little kid, my dream has been being able to sing in front of the American Idol audience and I cannot believe I have the chance right now.”She told the judges.
On the night of her audition, Myra literally blew the judges away with her performance as she sang One Night Only by Alum Jennifer Hudson from the musical drama Dreamgirls. The three judges were moved by her performance and their comments literally brought Myra to tears.
When Katy Perry asked her if she in high school, Myra confirmed that she was even part of the choir and Richie exclaimed, “No, you are the choir!” Luke Bryan named Myra as the next Kelly Clarkson.
“You just need to keep singing, because I think if you keep singing, you really gonna connect with people. I think we can really feel who you are through music. I feel like music transcends language barriers and you just showed us that.” Katy Perry told Myra.
Lionel Richie on the other side said, There’s nothing to compare you to. You have stepped into a zone that’s yours. And all I want you to do is from now on rule your zone because you are going places.”
Myra definitely got her ticket to Hollywood.
