Muhammad Siddiqui, Aafia Siddiqui Biological Brother – Synagogue Hostage Taker
Muhammad Siddiqui, the brother of the infamous Al-Qaeda Mom, Aafia Siddiqui, isn’t the Synagogue Hostage taker.
Various credible media sources are behind the news. Reportedly, he expressed his unhappiness via his lawyer, Annette Lamoreaux, for allegedly being connected to the case, completely denying the accusations. Nevertheless, the suspicion came since the suspect metaphorically referred to Aafia as his sister.
However, the investigators believe the case of Muhammad’s sister Lady Al-Qaeda’s situation is the motivation behind the hostage situation.
The incident began early Saturday, 15 January 2022. Aafia, serving a federal sentence in Fort Worth, published a statement through her lawyer Marwa Elbially, addressing the suspect and asking him to stand down.
She wrote about not condoning or accepting anything that harms other human beings and told the offender to release the hostages immediately. Likewise, the Siddiqui family also released a similar statement. They stated that the assailant didn’t have anything to do with Aafia or her family.
With that said, Muhammad isn’t the Synagogue hostage-taker.

His youngest sister, a Pakistani neuroscientist, is a convict of multiple felonies and currently serving an 86-year sentence at Federal Medical Center, Carswell, Fort Worth, Texas. Khalid Sheikh Muhammad named her a courier and financier for AL-Qaeda in 2003, causing her to be on the list of FBI’s Seeking Information – Terrorism.
Afia is the only woman to feature this list. Her arrest came about five years later in Ghazni, Afghanistan, by Afghan police. While in FBI’s custody, she allegedly shot the visiting U.S. FBI and Army personnel with an M4 carbine, and the officer returned fire, hitting her torso.
This incident led the U.S. to extradite her and charge her with assault and attempted murder of a U.S. soldier in September 2008. On 3 February 2010, a judge convicted her. ISIS offered to trade prisoners twice, once for James Foley and another for Kayla Mueller, for her release.
As for Muhummad’s other sister Fowzia, she is a Harvard-trained neurologist. She currently works at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, and has a teaching history at Johns Hopkins University.
