Mr Nice Tanzania whose real name is Lucas Mkenda is a Tanzanian musician. He is best known for Takeu (initials ofTanzania, Kenya and Uganda respectively) style of music. He is popularly known for his hit song ‘Fagilia’.

Mr Nice Tanzania Poverty
In July 2017 reports surfaced on social media that he was living in abject poverty. A concerned online user also took to a popular Facebook page to enquire: “Please allow me to digress just a little bit with permission from the admin. I am aware a lot of members
here are journalists. Anyone based in Athi River/Mavoko? I am trying to trace ‘Mr Nice ‘; the Tanzanian musician. I understand he’s now a wreck, living in poverty and drug abuse. I am not sure he even has a phone from the things I’m reading. Anyone who can help me, please I’ll appreciate.”
But speaking to eDaily, Mr Nice dismissed those reports.He said that he was doing fine and the rumors are being spread by haters. In July 2016 he landed a mega one-year deal , 47 County Tour was sponsored by Soko Bay International Limited, which has seen him hold performances across Kenya.
Mr Nice Tanzania Sick
Mr Nice Tanzania had been admitted to hospital in 2015 for months and this lend to speculations that he was HIV Positive. Social media fueled the rumour and he cleared the air and told ‘Standard Digital Entertainment’ that he was not HIV Positive.
“Do I look like I am HIV positive, or dying for that matter? Truth is, I am fit as a fiddle healthwise contrary to recent reports that went doing rounds insinuating that I could be living positively. I do not deny having been admitted in hospital sometime last year for a period of about three months owing to the fact that I was poisoned during the campaign season and to date I have no idea who would want to finish me. Nevertheless, I owe my life to God.” He said.
