Mabuse was born in Mankwe in 1981 in what was then the Republic of Botswana, a republic whose independence was only recognized by South Africa on the international stage. Afterward, in 1994, Bophuthatswana joined South Africa.
In the second season of the RTL dance competition Let’s Dance in 2007, Mabuse made her name in Germany by dancing with musician and former Eurovision Song Contest contestant Guildo Horn.
The couple finished in sixth place after being ousted from the fifth episode.
She danced on the third season of the program in 2010 with Rolf Scheider, a former member of the jury for Germany’s Next Topmodel, and finished in fifth place.
