Morocco: What Happened to Rayan Oram? Obituary & Death Cause
The little boy, Rayan Oram, died after falling into the well.
Fears of a landslide had slowed rescue efforts after he had fallen 32 meters through the shaft’s tiny mouth.
Officials did not comment on the child’s condition at the time of his removal, and the apparent rescue was met with cheers at first.
On social media, people used the hashtag # SaveRayan (# RescatenaRayan in Spanish) to express their joy, which quickly spread across the country and beyond.
However, minutes later, when the communique reporting Ryan’s death arrived, this turned to anguish.
The hashtag was then used by Twitter users to pay tribute and express sadness.

The youngster, Rayan Oram, was just five-years-old.
Not much is known about his family background; according to his father, he was mending the well at the time of the accident, and his son fell in “the only time he took his eyes off him.”
The youngster was alive and conscious when images from a camera installed in the well were taken on Thursday, but there have been no updates on his status since then.
Likewise, rescuers sought to give the child oxygen, food, and drink, but it was unclear whether he would be able to use them.
Because of the rough and sandy soil, the rescuers decided that opening the well would be too risky.
Bulldozers were instead employed to dig a big trench on one side of the hole. To reach the boy, rescuers began excavating horizontally.
Hundreds of people turned out to watch the operation, singing religious music, praying, and chanting “Al-Lahu-akbar.” Some even set up tents on the site.
Furthermore, the incident recalls a similar tragedy in Spain in 2019, when a two-year-old boy drowned after falling into a well near Malaga.
