Monique Olivier, age 73, actively participated in her husband Michel Fourniret’s hideous crimes. Thus, she was sentenced to a minimum term of 28 years for conspiracy. 

Monique Olivier is the ex-wife of French serial killer Michel Fourniret, also known as The Ogre of the Ardennes. 

Her husband admitted killing nine people, eight females and one male.

Further, he was convicted of seven of these murders on May 28, 2008, and was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. 

Michel Fourniret passed away on May 10, 2021, after being admitted to the hospital with respiratory problems. 

Besides, his wife Monique had told on him to the police.

Still, as she had helped him kidnap and kill his victims, Monique was given life with a minimum term of 28 years for conspiracy.

As per reports, she was the one to accost one of the victims, Fabienne Leroy, who took her to a field with Fourniret.

There, Fourniret raped and killed her. 

Although Monique said that she helped her husband due to fear, it still angered many of the netizens who felt repulsed by her compliance. 

Besides, Monique and Michel got married in July 1989. However, they are already divorced.

Monique Olivier has one son with her former husband, Michel Fourniret. Her son’s name is Selim Fourniret. 

He was born in September 1988 and currently ages 33 years old. 

Further, her son was 14 years old when he discovered his parents’ crimes from the news channels on television. 

Selim stated that he felt repulsed by his parents’ crimes and could never forgive them for it.

Also, he said that he never shared a close bond with his father but was fond of his mother. 

Besides her son and ex-husband, Monique has not mentioned anyone from her family, including her parents.
