The actress was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 28, 1979 to Bill and Mary Keena. She is the youngest daughter and her older sister is Samantha. Raised by her mother and grandmother, the New Yorker attended Saint Ann’s School and then was accepted into the drama and vocal departments of LaGuardia’s High School of Performing Arts. Shortly after starting classes at the school, Keena played her first role in a short film ‘Burning Love’

Keena landed her very first movie, While You Were Sleeping in 1995 as a teenager. Subsequently, the actress has appeared in tons of movies, including Law & Order. From March 1998 to May 1999, the Brooklyn native played Abby Morgan on Dawson’s Creek – s he reportedly asked to be scratched from the play, citing boredom for playing the same character.
In 2006, Keena played Celia in the movie Left Into Darkness. Previously, she worked on television and film projects including Bad Girls of Valley High, Man of the House, Long Distance, and Grey’s Anatomy.
