Atlanta Falcon wide receiver Mohamed Sanu is expected to show his athletic prowess in the upcoming season. Prior to his stint with the Falcons, he played for the Cincinnati Bengals, who selected him in the 2012 NFL draft.
Before joining the NFL league, Sanusich proved himself to be a good soccer player. He played for the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers University and was a quarterback for the South Brunswick High School football team.
Mohamed Sanu’s bio
Mohammed Sanu was born on August 22, 1989 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was a student at South Brunswick High School where he competed in football and track events. He dropped out of high school early because of his age and later enrolled at Rutgers University where he focused on soccer.
At Rutgers, he was noted as the first long-range player to play as a freshman in the school’s history. While with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, he played in 38 games and recorded 210 shots for 2,263 yards, 19 touchdowns and 3,019 all-purpose yards.
Mohamed Sanu left Rutgers Scarlet Knights as a junior and expressed interest in joining the National Football League in 2012. That year, he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals as the 83rd overall pick in the third round. In doing so, he made his first professional appearance in a game against the Washington Redskins. In that game, he became the first long shot receiver in team history to throw a touchdown pass. He continued to set impressive records as a rookie until he sustained a toe injury that kept him off the field for a while.
In March 2016, Mohamed Sanu signed a five-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons. With the team, he was selected to play at the Super Bowl game the following year. The team won the game against the New England Patriots when he recorded two receptions for 25 yards.
parents and siblings
Born to Samuel Sanu, Mohammed Sanu is an expert when it comes to football. His mother, Aminata Koroma, has lived most of her life in Sierra Leone and the United States of America. Mohammed is one of three siblings, he has a sister named Haja Jabbie and a brother named Samir Sanu.
As a child, Sanu’s family relocated from Sierra Leone to the United States of America. He grew up somewhere in Sayreville, New Jersey with his other siblings. In the month of May 2017, the family lost the patriarch of their home.
his religion
One could make a perfect guess from his namehis religion. It was named after the Islamic founder, the Prophet Mohamed. His religion became interesting after the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, imposed a travel ban on citizens of some Islamic countries.
As the only practicing Muslim who was supposed to play in the 2017 Super Bowl competition, the development bothered him. While it was imagined for a number of reasons that he would boycott the game or make a scene in protest, Mohamed played the game and later expressed in an interview that his religion has nothing to do with being a footballer.
Son, wife or girlfriend, is Sanu married?
For the documents, Mohamed Sanu is not eligible for theBachelor list. He is linked to a business tycoon named Lauren Mackenzie. It was sometime in February 2016 that he signed Lauren in a classically romantic fashion at London’s Wembley Stadium during a match between English Premier League side Liverpool and Manchester City. Together they have a son named after the broad receiver. He was born on August 21, 2015.
It was quite surprising that despite being engaged to Lauren, he attended the 2018 Falcon reunion with another lady named Dani Lee. No one knows his reasons, but there has been speculation that the footballer may have called off his engagement to Lauren.
