The main office is on Jomo Kenyatta Avenue in the Coast Total petrol station, next to Aswan restaurant. The company began with a fleet of 6 brand new Scania buses and currently has a fleet of over 60 state of the art coaches. There are more than ten daily services of the air-conditioned buses from Mombasa and Nairobi with the rest being the non-air-conditioned services.

Modern Coast Coaches is one of the only luxury coach company in East Africa to provide both first-class and business class service on board. The first-class seats are of much bigger dimensions compared to the business class seats.

♦ Go to Modern Coast Bus using your computer or mobile phone
♦ Select your travel details from the getting started section of the homepage and search for available buses.
♦ The website will display a list of Modern Coast buses that travel that route on that day, and the prices, reporting time and departure time.

♦ Select the bus that fits your travel plans (departure and arrival time and cost/ price), you are then taken to a page with available seats (if any) on that bus.
♦ Available seats are brightly colored
♦ Select your preferred (available) seat(s) on the bus chart, then click Submit.
♦ Enter your personal details: phone number, name, e-mail, passport or National ID number and Nationality. Select your preferred payment option (either Safaricom Mpesa, Visa or Mastercard).

♦ You will be sent an SMS with the modern coast express MPESA pay bill number and account number for Lipa Na Mpesa when you select M-Pesa
♦ Pay the bus fare within 15 minutes after receiving the SMS. After payment, you will receive an SMS from Mpesa to confirm the transaction, and another SMS from Modern Coast Bus to confirm your Modern Coast online booking. This confirmation SMS will also have your bus ticket number.
