Sources highlighted the news as a prank that went wrong. As per police statements, three teenagers, including Patton, who died in the shooting, approached Joshua Davis’s home, wearing ski masks and toy water guns that appeared to be assault rifles. First, Patton pointed the water gun at Davis and started to fire.
Meanwhile, Davis, 16, took a gun and shot Patton once in the chest, but the gun came out real.
How come the teen Joshua couldn’t identify the water gun when he pointed to Patton? Did he shoot Christopher knowingly or just by mistake?

As per WLOX, Joshua, now 16, has faced no charges as the police are still cross-questioning the bystanders or eyewitnesses. No one is under custody now. Meanwhile, dispatchers are investigating the case further. Deputy Hearn said no one is arrested now.
