The inquiry into Rico Harris’ strange disappearance is still ongoing, and he is still not found. His loved ones are desperate for answers about what happened to him.
According to the sources, Rico Harris’ car was discovered in the parking lot of a park in Yolo County, Northern California, on October 14.
Additionally, Rico Harris has never been discovered, despite numerous searches.
However, the story does not finish there. According to Stories of the Unsolved, police had detected a “ping” from Harris’s mobile phone that suggested the phone was more than 70 miles from where the car was located, which outlines some worrisome turns in the investigation.
Missing: Rico Harris Disappeared Update In 2021
Rico Harris’ disappearance has sparked numerous theories and speculations.
It was reported that Rico Harris drove to Los Angeles in October of that year, presumably on the spur of the moment, to iron out some family concerns.
The trip between the two West Coast cities would take roughly 18 hours to drive in typical conditions. Harris went it all on the same day, arriving in LA to speak with his mother and have dinner with one of his brothers.
Furthermore, Harris stopped for gas around seven hours later and told his girlfriend that he’d been up for 36 hours. He left her a voicemail a few hours later with the foreboding update about going for the mountains.
The sheriff’s office indicated on October 22 that the search would be scaled back. In mid-November, divers were dispatched to examine surrounding areas of the creek but discovered nothing.
The investigation is still underway. The story was featured in a part of the Investigation Discovery channel series Disappeared in 2016.
It is 2021 and almost 2022, yet, we still have no information on Rico Harris’ case.
Rico Harris Disappearance Theories: What Happened To Him?
The sheriff’s office detective working the investigation, Dean Nyland, has ruled out foul play as a factor in Harris’s disappearance.
Harris arrived in Yolo County voluntarily and alone. No indication of a struggle was located in or around the automobile.
Similarly, his phone and backpack show no traces of being stolen violently; Nyland believes Harris may have left them where he discovered them, either unintentionally or on purpose, to avoid being monitored via the phone.
According to Nyland, Harris may have taken a wrong turn after getting petrol and followed the route up into the Yolo County hills.
Nyland believes that when Harris awoke later that day (after what he supposed Harris to have taken a nap at the parking lot), unresolved difficulties from his background surfaced, prompting him to reconsider continuing to Seattle.
“This must have felt like nirvana to him,” he claimed, pointing to a position on the railing overlooking the creek where one driver said he saw Harris the following day. He says that Harris appeared to be “a free man” in the phone videos.
Rico Harris Family Today
Rico Harris is still missing, and his family members are still waiting for his return or any news.
His father’s name is Henry Harris, and his mother’s name is Margaret.
Rico changed his mind about basketball after a year and returned to the floor. Even though he had had little contact with his father since his parents’ divorce, he used his father’s Temple City address to enroll in junior high school there.
Henry and Margaret still hope to find their son, at least know what happened. Unfortunately, there are no updates so far.
