Miriam O’callaghan RTE Broadcast
Between her radio and TV commitments, it’s fair to say that Miriam O’Callaghan has her work cut out for her. But now that the summer has arrived, the popular broadcaster is sunning herself on a well-deserved break in Portugal. The mum-of-eight took to Instagram to share a holiday snap of her with five of her children -and joked that she was missing three of her brood.
Miriam does not make it a secret that she is a proud and loving mother to her eight children and lately celebrated her daughter Clara becoming a doctor at University College Cork after six years of research. As she toasted the latest graduate, the presenter joined her friends and family. Miriam continued to pay homage to her best friend Ann O’Neill who also joined them for a beautiful garden image.
Celebration with tonight’s best and oldest friends, particularly Ann, for @claramcgurk becoming a doctor, “she wrote.” Ann (O Neill) is the greatest friend that anyone can ever expect to have-thank you, Annie. Old friends are the best. “Miriam recently announced that for the second year in succession, her Saturday night chat show on RTE would not return.
I discovered it was pretty difficult with my kids never to be able to leave any weekend, “Miriam explained to Extra.ie,” It meant that we never had to leave during the summer. Now that we can actually schedule a few weekends away, it’s pretty great. “And I don’t have to wear a gown on a ball every Saturday night, so it finally worked very well for me.”
