Daunte Culpepper
Daunte entered the 1999 draft and was the 11th overall pick by the Vikings. He played college football for the UCF Knights.
Culpepper threw 20,162 yards for 135 yards at a pass completion rate of 64.36%. He was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2000, 2003, and 2004.
He led the 2004 NFL passing TD chart with 33 TDs and made the most passing yards with 4,717 in 2004.
The Miami Dolphins acquired the sportsperson via a trade deal in 2006. Nick Saban was the Dolphins’ head coach at that time.
He also played for the Oakland Raiders (2007) and the Detroit Lions (2008-09) before heading to the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL in 2010.
Brad Johnson
Johnson played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was the 227th pick in the 1992 draft. He was the backup for Rich Gannon and Sean Salisbury.
The arrival of Warren Moon in 1994 further delayed his game time. He got his first starting duty in 1996 and was 5-3 in eight games.
The 1997 season saw him as the starting QB, where he was 8-5 in 13 fixtures. He threw 3,036 yards for 20 yards.
In 1999, Brad joined the Redskins and was associated with the Buccaneers from 2001 to 2004.
A second stint started for the player in 2005, where he filled the void of the injured Duante Culpepper. He started in eight games.
The 2006 season saw him start in fourteen games. He threw 2,750 yards for nine yards.
After that season, he went to the Cowboys in 2007.
Brett Favre
Favre played two seasons with the Vikings (2009 and 2010), threw 6,711 yards, and recorded 44 touchdowns.
The three-time NFL MVP (1995-97) with the Packers produced a masterclass for Minnesota in 2009. He completed 68.4 percent of passes, the highest of his twenty-year professional career.
The 4,202 passing yards helped the team record 12-4 and qualify for the postseason. The 33 TDs were the decisive element of their offense.
Before the Vikings, the 11-time Pro Bowler played a season with the Jets and was with the Packers from 1992 to 2007. He won the SB XXXI with them.
Christian Ponder
Mr. Ponder recorded 6,872 passing yards and 49 TDs for the Florida State Seminoles from 2007 to 2010. As a result, the Vikings took him as the 12th pick in the 2011 draft.
Cam Newton, Von Miller, Jake Locker, J. J. Watt, Blaine Gabbert, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, and Richard Sherman were some of the famous names drafted from the 2011 draft class.
From 2011 to 2013, Ponder was the leading man for the team. He threw 6,436 yards with 38 touchdowns.
The four seasons (2011-14) with the team saw a young rookie QB emerge who made the position his own and started most of the games.
His duel with Aaron Rodgers Packers in 2012 to secure a playoff birth was the highest point of his career. A great turnaround was seen from the team as they registered ten wins in 2012. They had only three wins in 2011.
Due to injury, inconsistent results, and the signing of Teddy Bridgewater, Christian wasn’t offered a fifth-year extension and was let go in 2015.
