Mikie Wine is a Ugandan musician and brother of presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine.
Mikie Wine was born as Michael Mukwaya was born in 1989 in Uganda. His father was the late Jackson Wellington Ssentamu. Due to the hardship, he faced after his mother died, Mikie joined his senior brother Bobi who took him to school and paid for his fees.
Mikie Wine started his primary education at Modern Primary School and Eagles Nest SS Mengo before joining Standard High School, Zana for his advanced level of education. After that, Mikie enrolled at Makerere University to study bachelor’s in Music, Dance, and Drama but could not complete it due to financial constraints.
Mikie tried again at the joined Kampala International University and again, could not complete it. He finally abandoned his education and ventured into music.
