Mike Purcell is an American football defensive lineman who currently plays for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL). Purcell played college football at the University of Wyoming, where he was a standout defensive tackle for the Wyoming Cowboys.
After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Purcell signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. Purcell has also spent time with the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers, but he did not appear in any games for those teams.
Purcell joined the Denver Broncos in 2019 and has become a key member of their defensive line. In the 2019 season, he started 13 games for the Broncos and recorded 48 tackles and two sacks. On August 31, 2022, Purcell re-signed with the Broncos.
