Shirley Bassey net worth: Shirley Bassey is a Welsh singer who has a net worth of $10 million dollars. Born in Tiger Bay, Cardiff, Wales, Shirley Bassey always had a glorious singing voice, but was not encouraged by her teachers or peers, who often told her to be quiet. She began working at a factory when she was 14, and performed in nightclubs at night. She appeared in two touring musical productions in the early 50s, but at age 16, she stepped away from performance to give birth to her first child. In 1955, after catching the eye of Michael Sullivan, an agent, she began performing again. He began booking her at various venues, which led to an offer to appear in the musical, “Such Is Life” in the West End. She was offered a recording deal based on her work in the musical, and her first single was a moderate hit. In 1957, she had her first single reach the Top Ten on the charts, and since then, she has enjoyed a very steady career. Most recently, she performed her massively successful track, “Goldfinger” at the 2013 Oscars, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond franchise.
