Andrew & Peggy Cherng Net Worth: Andrew & Peggy Cherng are Chinese-born, American entrepreneurs who have a combined net worth of $3.1 billion. Andrew & Peggy Cherng are the co-CEO’s of Panda Express, a fast casual restaurant chain that serve American-Chinese cuisine. This Chinese couple that started and built a billions-worth business together is also connected by marriage vows. Andrew and Peggy are immigrants born in China and Burma, respectively, who met while studying at Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas. Next, they attended the University of Missouri, where Andrew got a Master’s degree in applied mathematics and Peggy earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. It was Andrew that opened a sit-down restaurant called Panda Inn with master chef father in 1973. After one decade, Peggy decided to abandon her software-development career to help Andrew grow his dinning business. Thus, the two launched first Panda Express in second-largest mall in Los Angeles County. Both sharing the CEO title, they turned their food-serving company into the largest chain of Asian fast food restaurants in the United States with 1,600 locations and more than 19,000 employees.
