Following a defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Nets are preparing to face them again in the second round. During their previous matchup, Bridges scored over 30 points in his first playoff game as a Net, finishing with 30 points and an impressive 12-of-18 percentage.
Mikal Bridges Parents

Mikal Bridges dad Jack’s details are concealed, but his upbringing was marked by his mother’s remarkable determination and hard work.
Raised by a young single mother who worked by day and attended college classes by night, Bridges was witness to her impressive resilience and persistence.
His mother persevered by taking one class at a time until she completed her Business Administration and Management degree.
Despite working long hours, she would return home to assist Bridges with his homework, read him bedtime stories, and then stay up late into the night doing her homework. With only a couple of hours of sleep, she would wake up and do it all over again.
Rivers’ unyielding effort, dedication to her studies, and work ethic deeply impressed Bridges.
Rivers believes that her son learned the value of hard work and the importance of putting in the effort to achieve his goals. He also inherited his mother’s “super long arms.”
