Michael Peterson Was Bisexual Not Gay, The Staircase Clearly Visualizes His Sexuality

The Staircase is a new true-crime series that follows the murder trial of Michael Peterson, an American novelist who was found guilty of killing his second wife, Kathleen Peterson, on December 9, 2001.

With the release of the 2004 documentary The Staircase, Kathleen Peterson’s death became a national, long-standing mystery.

In addition to the unanswered questions surrounding her death, there were still unanswered questions about her husband, Michael Peterson’s guilt or innocence.

The trailer of the show ‘The Staircase’ does not reveal how deep into this long and intricate story the miniseries will go, but it does hint at what portions of the plot will be covered.

Michael Peterson’s journey didn’t concluded until 2018, despite his initial murder trial taking place in 2003.

The Staircase: Michael Peterson Was Bisexual Not Gay

Michael Peterson was convicted and given a life sentence. As the prosecution presented evidence to support possible motives, Michael maintained his innocence.

However, the spotlight on Michael Peterson’s bisexuality was one of the most contentious aspects of his murder prosecution.

Some trial footage from the case’s docuseries The Staircase may be shocking to some viewers.

Furthermore, HBO Max and Annapurna TV collaborated on the eight-part drama The Staircase. The first, second, and third installments will premiere on May 5, 2022. Each subsequent episode will be released weekly until June 9, 2022.

Michael Peterson sexuality and transgender rumors: Was He Innocent Or Guilty?

The state alleged in court that his motivation was partly motivated by Michael Peterson’s sexuality. Moreover, the 78-year-old is now entirely free and no longer in prison.

According to NBC, the prosecutor said Kathleen had discovered 2,000 photographs of naked males on her husband’s computer and an email discussion with a 26-year-old male escort who had contacted him four months before the murder and whom Peterson planned to meet.

According to the prosecutor, Kathleen may have come upon the images and emails, sparking a physical—and eventually fatal—an altercation between husband and wife.

The trial(s!) was full of twists and bizarre theories, blaming the death on everything from an owl attack to a second, comparable slaying.

The odd case has been the focus of numerous true crime podcasts, a Netflix docuseries, and now a new drama miniseries starring Colin Firth and Toni Collette from HBO Max.

HBO In a star-studded limited series out now, Max’s new thriller The Staircase reenacts the entire affair, including the documentary.

However, cause of the limited number of episodes, the show must leave some facts, such as the aftermath of the initial trial and what happened to Michael Peterson after the jury returned their decision.

Since this narrative didn’t stop there, the conviction and life sentence of Michael Peterson in 2003 was only part of the narrative.
