A well-known politician from the Turks and Caicos Islands, Michael Eugene Misick was born on February 2, 1966. He has held a number of significant posts in the administration and is a member of the Progressive National Party (PNP). From August 15, 2003, to August 9, 2006, Misick presided as the 7th Chief Minister of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
He was then chosen to serve as the first premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, a position he held until March 23, 2009.
