Michael Floyd is an American athlete who plays soccer as a wide receiver for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). The far receiver was born on November 27, 1989, in Saint Paul Minnesota. He was born to Mike Floyd Snr and Theresa Romero. Michael is an American who started his career as a professional soccer player.
He enrolled at Cretin Derham Hall High School and later attended Notre Dame College where, as in his school days, he continued to play football. Things were not going well for Michael Floyd’s family and he had to do menial jobs to pay for high school. He worked as a cleaning lady at his school, cleaning and tidying up before other students started again.
As a junior in college, he caught 63 passes for 1,240 yards in addition to 16 touchdowns. He continued to hone his skills and as a senior he recorded 59 receptions for 1,247 yards, 17 touchdowns and 497 rushing yards per 43 carries, prompting his team to enter the state championship game. He was later named Minnesota Player of the Year back-to-back by the Associated Press and Gatorade in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
He got other rankings from Tom Lemming; a high school football analyst as the 15th best athlete in the nation and Scout.com listed him as the 16th best in the nation.

In 2012, he became a professional footballer, first-round pick, 13th overall by the Arizona Cardinals. He showed his skills on the fields, played four straight seasons and has proven himself on the team as well.
Later in 2016, he ran into trouble with authorities and was arrested for drinking and driving. His team was not happy with the news and later fired him. Almost immediately, Michael signed with the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, he was not successful with the team and could not participate in the Superbowl that year.
The following year, in the month of May, MichaelFloyd signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Two months after joining the team, he was suspended for violating NFL policies and the Substance Abuse Program. He resumed a game against the Chicago Bears in October.
When his contract with the Vikings came to an end, he signed with the New Orleans Saints on July 31, 2018, but was released on September 1, 2018. Sixteen days later he signed a contract with the Washington Redskins.
