The singer was born on April 29, 1988 as Michael Stephen Castro in Dallas, Texas. Later, his parents moved to Rowlett, Texas, and raised him with his two older brothers. He is the youngest son of parents: René and Betsy Castro, who are Colombian citizens. His father appointed as architectural designer of swimming pools. Also, he is the younger brother of Jason, who became the fourth finalist on the seventh season of American Idol. Jason is also an American singer, songwriter, and real estate agent.
He has a younger sister named Jackeline “Jackie” Castro (b. 1995). She is also a singer, songwriter and actress. As for her education, she attended Rowlett High School with her brother as a teenager. She then joined college at Texas A&M University with him, but she dropped out in her junior year to pursue music. Before pursuing his music career, he was active as a mixed martial arts fighter.
