Meredith’s family did go to Ireland sometime later to celebrate her parents’ 25th wedding anniversary.

While her passion was always been broadcasting, her first job was working as a golf caddy. Her father taught her how to do it and she had been doing it as a summer job. Through her caddy work, Meredith met Michael Jordan and Mario Lemieux. When asked if she could interview anyone dead or alive, Meredith chose Mother Teresa.

Meredith said she was always moved by Mother Teresa’s selflessness. While she had covered many high profile stories, interviewing her dad after he was diagnosed with a chance was her most memorable. Meredith goes on to say how her parents influenced her, telling her to always believe in herself.
