She was a talk show host at Fox News from 2004 to 2017 and a host and correspondent with NBC News from 2017 to 2018. She is also active in posting to her Instagram page and YouTube channel.  She currently hosts a talk show and podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, that airs live daily on SiriusXM.

Megyn Kelly Fox News: Why did Megyn Kelly leave Fox News?

Megyn Kelly left Fox News in January 2017 after more than ten years of service to the organization.

Kelly’s resignation followed a contentious year in which she gained notoriety for her disagreements with then-candidate for president Donald Trump as well as her criticism of former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who was fired from the network over charges of sexual harassment.

But, Kelly’s choice to negotiate a new contract with NBC News, where she was offered a bigger pay and her own daytime show, was the main factor in her decision to leave. She described her main reason for quitting Fox News as a desire to experience new chances and challenges.

After making remarks on her show about donning blackface that was roundly denounced as offensive and racist, Kelly ended her relationship with NBC News in 2018. She later expressed regret for the comments, but the uproar ultimately caused the network to terminate her show and end her contract.
