Cushing is the daughter to Ben Ohai and Cindy Ohai. Megan has three siblings. They are Cami, Aubrey and Kealia Ohai. Her sister Kealia is a professional soccer player. Kealia is most famous for scoring the winning goal for the USA at 2012 Under 20 World Cup Finals.

She married footballer Brian Cushing in 2012. The couple has two sons together. They are named Cayden (born in 2012) and Kai Cushing (born in 2014). Brian is the star linebacker for Houston, Texas, in the NFL. He played college football at the University of South California. Then he was drafted by team Texans in the first round of the 2009 NFL drafts.
In August 2014, Megan and her family moved into their new $2.2 million residence in Houston, Texas. Previously, they lived in a Mediterranean style home. Living in the Sienna Village of Water Lake Subdivision in Missouri City, Texas. Cushing and Brian studied at the same college. They have been in a relationship from that time.
Frank Cushing and Antoinette Cushing from Houston, are her in-laws. Michael Cushing is her brother-in-law while Michelle Cushing is the sister-in-law.

Cushing attended her primary studies at Alta High School, Salt Lake City. She then went to the University of Southern California. Here she majored in psychology. Since her freshman year in college, Megan has been devoutly working out in the gym. There are a number of photos on her Instagram account(@meganmcushing) showing her posing after a workout.
Furthering her passion, she started a fitness blog. This together with her sister Kealia in March 2017. Dealing with general fitness tips, including gym workout schedules and athletic toning. As well as special exercises for post maternity women. Especially, on how to get back to a toned body after pregnancy.
Aside from fitness, apparently she has spent time decorating a few of the rooms in the 5,400 square foot mansion. Brian and Megan recently bought the mansion. Subsequently, she is considering indulging decorating professionally.

Megan owns a dog, a deep brown colored Chihuahua.
Though not a sports fan herself, she follows the sports because of both her husband’s and sister’s successful careers in them.
Husband Brian Cushing is a descendant of the Cushing Brothers, who fought in the American Civil War. One of the brothers, Alonzo Cushing, was awarded with the Medal of honor.
