Mangini had completed graduation at the University of Delaware. During her studies, she was involved in the Cappella group, The Deltones. The designer mentioned she had never seen success coming her way as she battled limiting beliefs. She considers working gradually and steadily and works accordingly to her intuitions.
Mangini is currently 39 years old. She was born on March 25, 1983, and the designer zodiac sign is Aries. On March 25, 2018, her partner Bright wished her birthday and pinned, ‘A very happy birthday to this girl.’ He had mentioned they had celebrated her 27th birthday together for the ninth time.
But she corrected him that she was turning a proud 35. He added, ‘Now the five-year countdown is officially on for her 40th Cabaret slash one-woman show, with special guests.’
Mangini grew up with supportive parents and spent her childhood in Brooklyn. According to the designer, she was living in Brooklyn while starting her career as an interior designer.

On June 26, 2020, Tara Mangini and Percy Bright celebrated their ten years of togetherness. The pair has had a blissful relationship of around 12 years now. Even in the interview, Mangini mentioned they met twelve years ago in Philly in 2010.
In 2015, the couple celebrated their fifth anniversary with six courses Indian dinner in London.
When they met, Bright had brought a house and later departed from his job. As a jobless person, the couple started working on his house together. They began with an Esty Shop and sold vintage stuff.
On August 9, 2018, the designer wished her partner on his birthday. She added that Percy was her partner in all things. However, the designer could not celebrate his birthday as she was in Barcelona. She had thanked him and wished lifetime supply of Cherry Schweppes and a hole-in-one.

While living in Brooklyn, the couple was broke. They had a low budget for the projects as they had no money. They had struggled through their starting phase and finally led success and renovated their house, living in a temporary kitchen.
