Jesse Brown’s daughter Pamela Brown Knight is the first black aviator’s only child. She was born from Jesse’s relationship with his wife Daisy.
Pamela was present in the ceremony conducted at Naval Air Station Meridian to dedicate one of the station’s hangars in the honor of Jesse L Brown. She received the plaque from a Navy officer at the ceremony. Meanwhile, her father’s legacy spans much more than a hangar dedicated to his honor.
Brown’s biographical film Devotion was released in the United States of America on November 23, 2022, the film was first screened at Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2022. It is based on a book titled Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice which covers Jesse Brown and Tom Hudner’s friendship and life during the Korean War.
Devotion not just covers Jesse’s military career and his contributions to the Korean war but also his family. Brown was born as one of six siblings to his parents Julia Lindsey Brown and John Brown. He was married to his wife Daisy with whom he shared one daughter Pamela Brown.

The film Devotion has received a positive review from critics according to the film’s Wikipedia profile. Actor Jonathan Majors will portray Jesse while his wife Daisy will be portrayed by actress Christina Jackson.
