The 49-year-old graduated from Carmel High School in 1990. He then enlisted in the US Navy and was admitted to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree with honors in political science in 1995.
Young earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 2000 while stationed in the Chicago area. He studied night school at the University while serving in the Navy. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 2000.
