Childhood

Dane Jackson was born on November 29, 1996, in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, United States. He is the son of Dion Jackson and Nicole Oliver and both of them have always been supportive of him.

He attended Cornell High Scholl and he has always been passionate about football since he was young.

However, he could not play for the school’s football team since Cornell did not have a football team back then. But he did play as an all-state basketball player for Cornell.

Since the school he went to did not have a football team, he used to play for the neighboring high school football at Quaker Valley High School. There he played as a quarterback.

He was also a part of Pitt Panthers

After enrolling at the University of Pittsburg in Pennsylvania on June 24, 2014, he committed to playing football. There, he chose to be a part of the Panthers over Bowling Green and Duquesne. He played as a Cornerback at Pitt. After watching him play at a Pitt prospect camp, his coach Paul Chryst also offered him a scholarship.

Even though he was red-shirted in his freshman year and had to play a reserve role, he became quite active during his sophomore, junior, and senior years at Pitt.

He continuously played as a part of the team and during his senior year, he led Pitt with 43 tackles, a sack assist, and an interception.

After his senior year, he was named second-team-all-Atlantic Coast Conference and even played at the 2020 Senior Bowl.

Family

Dion Jackson and Nicole Oliver had three boys along with Dane namely, Devonte, Dennis Jr., and Donovan. Their information is not available as they decided to keep their lives private.

While growing up, Dane’s family was always supportive of his passion for football.

“Without her guidance and encouragement throughout my life, I wouldn’t be sitting in this position,” Jackson said in one of the interviews when he was asked about his mom.

When he decided to play for the Bills, the feeling of being away from home and family was quite different but still, he decided to go for it.

His mom even mentioned that it took a lot of convincing to allow her son to live outside of the home for a year so he could attend a different high school.

Career
