Dana was born to her parents, Dan and Prudence Mae Little, in a small Oklahoma town, Madill. Both her father and mother used to work as attorneys.
Her mother, an Oklahoma University College of Law graduate, died of cancer-related complications on 22 May 2010.
As for her age, she is 18 months younger than her sister, who is about 53 years old (born in 1969). Aside from Janna, she also has another sibling named Molly Little Olcott.
