The late Anthony Flynn’s partner or wife’s name has not surfaced to the media yet. Here is what we know.
Mr. Flynn grew up in Dublin’s north inner city on Dorset Street. He was well-known in the neighborhood and used to work at Lloyd’s, his family’s tavern.
After working in the voluntary sector, Mr. Flynn created the charity Inner City Helping Homeless in 2013.
The Amiens Street-based organization was founded to tackle the city’s expanding number of rough sleepers. Mr. Flynn was elected to Dublin City Council as an independent in 2019.
Mr. Flynn was also named CEO of Inner City Helping Homeless in 2019. However, he was recently suspended pending the outcome of a gardai inquiry into charges of sexual misconduct. He had not, however, been detained or formally questioned.
On Friday night, a light vigil will be conducted outside the charity’s offices on Dublin’s Amiens Street in honor of the activist.
Anthony Flynn Partner Or Wife: Sexual Allegations Explained
There is no information regarding the late Anthony Flynn’s partner or wife.
According to the report, gardaí was investigating two initial complaints of “severe sexual assault” in May of this year, one of which involved a “very vulnerable” male in his 20s. The man was allegedly sexually abused after being driven to Mr. Flynn’s house late at night by a cab.
According to the complaint, the man went to a hospital emergency room the next day and was moved to the sexual assault unit.
A review of the charity’s archives revealed the individual was an ICHH client who had previously been accommodated in a rental property “at the CEO’s request.”
The second sexual assault claim stemmed from an incident 13 days later and included another individual who was driven to the former CEO’s home in a cab.
According to the findings, Mr. Flynn’s home was searched after the charges were made to gardaí, and many of his electronic devices were seized. Garda said the ICHH taxi account was allegedly used to transport one of the guys to Mr. Flynn’s home.
On August 26th, a third alleged victim claimed that Mr. Flynn had sexually abused him to charity. However, no date for the purported assault is given.
According to the investigation, the homeless man had been “accommodated by the CEO in accommodation supplied by ICHH,” according to the research.
How Did He Die?
On Wednesday afternoon, the 34-year-old was discovered dead at his East Wall residence.
“We are very hearted to say we were aware of the passing of our co-founder of Inner City Helping Homeless, Anthony Flynn,” ICHH said in a statement following his death this week.
“This awful tragedy has left all of us at ICHH in a state of shock. We want to convey our sorrow and heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends on their loss.
“Anthony was a guy who was concerned about the condition of the homeless and strove to provide them with a voice and a place to call home.” He put that belief into action as one of the founding members of ICHH.
