After her contentious victory in the 2023 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, Miki Sudo might have a new competitor.
In the annual July 4th tradition, Japanese social media star Mayoi Ebihara placed herself among the top female eaters in the world by downing 33 hot dogs and buns to take second place.
When the competition was over, the judges’ initial 33-33 tie score was changed.
For the majority of the competition, it seemed like Tokyo-based YouTuber Ebihara was chasing Sudo. Just two hot dogs and buns separated Ebihara from Sudo, who had taken the lead with 26 hot dogs and buns, at the halfway point.
