Matt Preston (born 2 July 1961) is an English-Australian food journalist, restaurant critic, author, and television personality who grew up in the United Kingdom and Australia. As a judge on Network Ten’s MasterChef Australia, he is most known for his involvement in the show, as well as his weekly food column in the Taste supplement, which is published in the Herald Sun, the Courier-Mail, and the Daily Telegraph (Australia) newspapers. As a writer, Preston has contributed to MasterChef and delectable. magazines, and she was a former food columnist for The Age newspaper’s food section, “Epicure,” and Vogue Entertaining + Travel magazine. Prior to his retirement in 2009, Preston served as the Creative Director of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
