Marta Fran Kauffman is well-known in the field and has had a long career as a writer and producer in American television. Along with her lifelong friend and coworker David Crane, she is well known for inventing the popular NBC comedy series Friends.
Along with Kevin Bright, they both acted as the show’s executive producers. Kauffman and Crane subsequently produced Jesse and Veronica’s Closet, among other TV series.
Kauffman co-created the well-liked Netflix sitcom Grace and Frankie in more recent years. She used her creativity to build and grow this popular show without Financing.
Kauffman majored in drama at Brandeis University, where she received a BA in 1978 after pursuing her interest in the subject. She belonged to the Sigma Delta Tau sorority at Brandeis University.
At the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Drama in New York City, Kauffman polished her acting abilities.
