Marli van Breda is the daughter of Martin and Teresa van Breda. Marli van Breda’s siblings are; Henri and Rudi van Breda.
On January 27 2015, Martin and Teresa van Breda together with Rudi were found in a pool of blood in their De Zalze Golf Estate. Marli van Breda was the only survivor of the brutal attack by her own brother, Henri van Breda who murdered his family with an axe.

Marli van Breda’s boyfriend, James Reade-Jahn sent a WhatsApp message to Marli which raised a lot of eyebrows about his likely involvement in the murder.
James Reade-Jahn’s message read;
The gruesome murder of the van Breda family followed 16 days after James Reade-Jahn sent the message above to Marli van Breda.
James Reade-Jahn told Judge Serai Desai that he regrets the words he used and that he was trying to comfort Marli after an ugly family fight that had left Marli and her mother Teresa “very upset”.
