Marcus Sedgwick was a British writer, illustrator, and musician. He has published novels such as Floodland and The Dark Horse. He authored several picture books and has illustrated a collection of myths and a book of folk tales for adults
The first U.S. edition of his 2011 novel Midwinterblood won the 2014 Michael L. Printz Award from the American Library Association as the preceding year’s “best book written for teens, based entirely on its literary merit”
Was Marcus Sedgwick Married?
Sedgwick was married, and had one daughter; Alice but there is not much information about his wife and his daughter, and they resided in West Sussex. He took his writing seriously in 1994 when he published his first novel which went on to be well-awarded.
The majority of Sedgwick’s work is a young adult and is well known for the dark themes in many of his novels. Before becoming a published author, Marcus worked as a bookseller for Heffers, as a sales manager for Ragged Bears, and as an editor for Templar Publishing.
