Wendi Davidson’s murder case of 2018 has reemerged in the public domain lately after her ex-fiance was charged with first-degree murder.
After seeing each other for quite some time, she seemed to have found the love of her life. In fact, the pair engaged to be married.
That being said, behind the happy relationship hid the dark secrets which ultimately led to a heartwrenching tragic conclusion.
Originally from Massachusetts, the mother of two was living in North Andover. She completed high school back in 1987.
Apparently, she had been serving as an accountant for an engineering company and lived with her brother in Lincoln Street, Massachusetts.
On the 21st of April 2018, she was found unresponsive in the basement by the upstairs neighbour. They alerted her brother and called 911.
After receiving the call, the authorities reached the address at around 12:30 pm and found her dead body in the basement.
It appeared that her body was dragged to the basement stated the police official. In fact, her car keys, cellphone, and purse were missing.
After the investigation started, the authorities discovered that she had met Brian through an online dating platform in December 2017.
They had engaged after knowing each other for a short period of time, however, she broke it off due to Chevalier’s controlling behaviour.
Even after calling off the relationship, she had maintained contact with Brian as a friend. She even talked about him with her friends.
Along with further rigorous investigation, the authorities learned of Chevalier’s past crime recorders leading to the break-up.
The police officers discovered her car about a mile from the address and Brian was caught in the area from the Surveillance footage.
According to the forensics report, she had been strangled to death by a USB cord wrapped around her neck that was knotted around by a zip tie.
Previously, he had sexually assaulted, threatened, and tortured a woman whom he had met online and dated briefly back in 2003.
Additionally, Chevalier was convicted of kidnapping and had served more than a decade in prison before releasing in December 2017 on parole.
