  • Background of the Study

In recent times, the term maltreatment has become popularized widely in the social circles. Though, this may not be an unfamiliar to the Christendom but, it has now been prevalent also in the religious circle

With the increasing rate at which maltreatment is recorded in the society and in the Church, it behooves that such growing trend which cuts across every sphere of human existence should be given an in-depth probing as it affects the Church in its totality.

Hence, the subject in question is worth it as we know that the Church as mid-wife by God was Intended by Him to be light in the dark ravaged society and also manifest the fruits of his kingdom. A noncompliance would be an outright aberration.

  • Statement of the Problem

This research work is set out to address the following problems:

  1. How leadership style impact the Church.
  2. How maltreatment enhance maximum productivity of leaders.
  3. How maltreatment foster peace and unity in the Church.
  4. How maltreatment in Church leadership stimulates commitment among members.
