Malcolm Irving Glazer was born on August 15, 1928, in Rochester, New York. He was an entrepreneur and sports team owner. He presided over First Allied Company, a holding company for different business interests.
He was also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. Glazer was the owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League and the English Premier League club, Manchester United.
Malcolm was the fifth of seven children of Lithuanian Jewish immigrants. At the young age of eight, he was engaged in the family business, watch sales. When his father died, he took over the watch business at fifteen. The start of this business life gradually saw him rise to become the 400th richest person in the world.
In 1995, Glazer purchased the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a laughable $192 million. It was considered a record at the time, but the team is currently four times that amount.
Glazer suffered two strokes in 2006 and eventually died on May 28, 2014. He was 85 years old. And his net worth at the time of his death was estimated by Forbes to be $4 billion dollars.
