Magnolia Thunderpussy (born Patricia Donna Mallon on October 30, 1939, died on May 15, 1996) was a burlesque performer in San Francisco, as well as a radio personality, filmmaker, and restaurant. Thunderpussy owned and operated two restaurants in San Francisco during the 1960s: the one at 1398 Haight Street (at the corner of Haight and Masonic), which bore her name, offered a late-night delivery service as well as erotic desserts such as “The Montana Banana,” which consisted of an unsplit banana, representing a phallus, served “erect” in a food service “boat” with two scoops of ice cream, representing the other components of male gen She developed a slew of additional delectables of this kind that, at the time, seemed to be very scandalous. Another group of rock artists and bands that travelled to San Francisco in order to record at Wally Heider’s studio expressed their gratitude to her. A big hit with the bands and their fans, her catering business would bring her trademark culinary dishes to any place in San Francisco at any time of day or night, even the wee hours of the morning. She was also a huge hit with the “Cannabis Culture” that existed in the area. She was admired for her razor-sharp humour, sense of adventure, and colourful imagination, and she established a reputation as a lively and free-spirited individual at a period in the Bay Area when everything seemed possible. Originally from San Francisco, she was a third-generation San Franciscan who could trace her ancestors back to the days before the 1906 disaster. Many of my friends and coworkers were given “Thunderpussy” nicknames that reflected some element of their personalities or physical looks. Jimmy Mallon, also known as “Kid Thunderpussy,” her younger brother, had an important role in the running of her food service businesses, although in a more behind-the-scenes capacity. Magnolia Pub and Brewery, located at the intersection of Haight and Masonic, has been in operation since 1997 under the direction of publican David McLean. In addition to naming the tavern in honour of Magnolia, he makes a barley wine each year called Old Thunderpussy to commemorate the occasion. Magnolia Thunderpussy was the name of a mixed-influence rock band from Los Angeles that formed in the mid-1980s. It was 1986 that the band split, but it was in the mid-2000s that they reunited. Magnolia Thunderpussy was the name of a record shop in Columbus, Ohio, on the Ohio State University campus, which was founded by an entrepreneur called Chuck Kubat in 1971. Despite the fact that it has relocated many times over the years, it is still in operation and even provides online sales.
