Things are heating up in season nine of Married At first sight. What Samantha wanted in her husband couldn’t have been farther from what she got. Al, the one known as ‘baby groom,’ is the youngest participant of MAF.

Samantha and Al had a rocky start to their relationship. The couple had some misgivings with each other.
Samantha is currently 26 years old, and Al is 25 years old. After Samantha’s ex-boyfriend cheated on her, she had almost lost hope in love. She had considered her ex-boyfriend ‘the one.’ However, he cheated on her, which made Samantha have trust issues.
Seven years of love separated just like that. As Samantha is especially career-focused, her career takes most of her time with no room for personal relationships. She had come to MAF to find a reliable and mature man, but what she got was Al.
Al Perkins is the yougest participant of MAF. His crazy antiques, such as performing a shoey in the first dinner party and using Eminem’s rap verse in his wedding vows, were already grating on Samantha’s nerves.
While it wasn’t a deal-breaker, Samantha was disappointed with her partner. Al also wasn’t the fondest of Samantha. He had revealed to the MAF’s matching expert that a partner without a tattoo would have been preferable.
However, the story takes a turn. Starting to love someone doesn’t need expectations of perfection.
A Look Into Their Relationship
What Samantha and Al got in each other was certainly not what they expected. However, the couple has learned to put aside their differences and truly open up to each other.
The relationship certainly had a rocky start, and what Samantha wanted was certainly not Al. His emotional immaturity had certainly her aback. However, she has hinted that Al might grow into her.
Al also has been smitten with his wife. The couple had a very romantic time when they went paddleboarding together, and they have been honest with each other since.
In an interview with radio hosts Jimmy and Nathan, they asked AL if he had been intimate with Samantha. Al sheepishly avoided the question and said, “Umm… no comment.”
The interviewer continued to probe him, and Al let it slip that the couple had done the deed.
While the pair had a not-so-stellar start to their relationship, they are certainly learning to cherish each other.
