Madison Pike Missing Woman Sherry Moore Update 2023
Following the discovery of Moore’s body, an Independence assisted living facility will be sued for wrongful death because a woman’s death was caused by the facility’s failure to care for its residents.
Peter Jaquish, the brother of Moore, who is his client, will file the complaint on Friday, according to attorney N. Jeffrey Blankenship.
According to Blankenship, Moore had diabetes, heart disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other diseases.
On the afternoon of August 4, she left the facility secretly, according to Blankenship. “They learned that she was gone two hours after she left.”
According to the lawsuit, the security cameras had been broken since February and were not operational when Moore left.
According to Blankenship, the video system might have been able to aid in locating Moore by giving crucial information.
Additionally, the building had numerous Fire code violations when Moore vanished.
“They were cited for other violations as well, but nothing as serious as that,” Blankenship said of the safety violations related to the sprinkler system. This institution needs to be better run.
Ketoacidosis was identified as Moore’s cause of death; however, had Moore been discovered sooner, this condition might have been curable.
