The pair broke up just one month after they started a long-distance romance when Garrick relocated to Florence, Italy, to work for a local women’s basketball club, according to Dailymail.
Before the shocking split news, Sophie had been posting adorable pictures of the couple traveling together in foreign countries where Maddie had moved to play.

Sophie proposed to Maddie by giving her a sizable ring set with three diamonds on Mardi Gras weekend in February.

Madeleine Garrick was born in Shepparton on April 1, 1992, to parents Danny and Colleen. She spent her childhood in the Goulburn Valley town of Toolamba, which is situated, 180 kilometers north of Melbourne & 18 kilometers south of Shepparton.
She began playing basketball when she was 11 years old, which was far later than many of her contemporaries she played with. Garrick only got into basketball because she has two older brothers, James and Lachlan & their parents entered them in a competition after school just for some light competition, social interaction & to play a sport.
