Young actor Lucas Hedges was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City in the United States on December 12, 1996. He grew up with his older brother Simon partly in Brooklyn and Cobble Hill.
During his childhood, Lucas often visited his father’s film sets which led him to become an actor. He attended Saint Ann’s School and also enrolled in the School of Arts at the University of North Carolina where he studied acting. He is currently taking a break so he can focus more on his acting career.

Lucas Hedges made his film debut in 2007 when he was featured in a film called Dan in Real Life, the film was directed by his father Peter Hedges. During his high school days, he starred in a play production which caught the attention of Wes Anderson who later featured him in his movie titled Moonrise Kingdom in 2012.
In 2013, he continued to gain popularity appearing in three films including Labor Day, Arthur Newman, and The Zero Theorem. The following year he appeared in The Grand Budapest Hotel and Killing the Messenger after which he received positive reviews from people and in 2015 Hedges got his breakthrough after starring in the movie titled Manchester by the Sea. For his marvelous performance in the film, Lucas won a Critics Choice Award for Best Young Performer and several other nominations.
