Louis Aliot Biography

Louis Aliot is a French politician and a lawyer by profession. Since 16 January 2011, Louis is the vice president of the National Rally, previously named National Front. Being a member of the FN Executive Office, Executive Committee and Central Committee, he has been a regional councilor since 1998 and a municipal councilor of Perpignan from 2008 to 2009.

Aliot seems very secretive about his family affairs and tries to keep them away from the spotlight. We only know that he was born in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, to a family of ethnic French and Algerian Jewish heritage, who had resided in Algeria (Pied-noir).

In the 1998 French regional elections, Aliot was elected regional councilor of the Midi-Pyrénées and represented the department of Haute-Garonne for six years.

Aliot became an ally of the National Front in the 1988 presidential election, during which he voted for Jean-Marie Le Pen. From 1990, he joined the party, he knows a meteoric rise since he quickly becomes a trainer at the National Youth Front.

He obtained his first mandate in 1998 by becoming a regional adviser of Midi-Pyrénées. His friendship with Samuel Maréchal allowed him to be chosen by Jean-Marie Le Pen to be his chief of staff in 1999, then the coordinator of his 2002 presidential campaign.

Also, he holds the position of Secretary-General of Generations Le Pen, whose first mission was the “demonization” of the National Front, becomes the parliamentary assistant of Marine Le Pen in 2004 and the general secretary of the party the following year.

In 2010, he left this post to support the candidacy of Marine Le Pen at the head of the National Front and was appointed vice-president of the party the following year. During that same time, he took an oath as a lawyer at the Paris Bar and set up his office in Perpignan. Operational director and spokesman of the campaign of Marine Le Pen in 2012, he stands out as his right arm. Since 2014, he has been sitting in the European Parliament.
