Lori Greiner Biography,
Lori Husman Greiner (née Husman) was born December 9, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Near North Side, Chicago. She had a middle-class upbringing thanks to her father’s work as a real estate developer and her mother’s work as a psychologist. His parents divorced when he was 9 years old.
After high school, Lori attended Loyola University Chicago where she majored in communications, including journalism, film, and television (so it’s no wonder she’s been a no-brainer on set of Shark Tank). She interned at the Chicago Tribune.
In addition to her love for journalism, Lori had another passion: jewelry making. Right from her studies, Lori designed and sold her own jewelry.
As a jeweler, Lori thought it would be great if people had an organizer that could hold almost all of their jewelry. This idea only stuck in her mind in 1997, when she decided to make it happen.

She created the jewelry organizer that could fit around 100 pairs of earrings and paid to get it patented. With a loan of $300,000, she was able to make a prototype. Lori also got her business For Your Pleasure, Inc. started. The product caught the interest of JC Penney and in just over a year Lori was able to repay the loan and make huge profits.
This marked the start of Lori’s career as a serial inventor. Lori recounted her success with the jewelry organizer launching her own QVC show, Clever & Unique Creations Show, where she showcased her subsequent products.
In 2012, his huge success on QVC led to a guest investor spot on Shark Tank. Two years later, she invested in Scrub Daddy, a scratch-free sponge. The product sold over 2 million units on QVC in one day and has, to date, sold over 17 million units on QVC alone. Sales have grossed over $100 million to make the product Shark Tank’s biggest hit.
Lori’s other successful investment was in CordaRoy, a trash can bed that generated over $10 million in sales. Lori has a 90% success rate on newly launched items, which allows her to claim that she knows immediately if a product is a “hero or a zero”. She is by far the most successful shark in the series.
Lori was a speaker at the first Women’s Entrepreneurship Symposium hosted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Net worth, house
Lori Greiner’s net worth is estimated at $50 million. Among his assets is a house in Exton, Pennsylvania.
Husband, children
Lori is married to a certain Dan Greiner, a man who was behind her before becoming a millionaire. They first met at a certain Kincaid bar in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. They started a friendship that soon turned romantic and the rest, as they say, is history.
While it’s unclear what year they met or married, with Lori preferring to brush off business guidelines than open up about her private life with the media, a Chicago Business article revealed they had previously linked. before 1996.
1996 is the same year that Dan was supporting his wife in realizing her idea of inventing a plastic jewelry holder that could hold 100 pairs of jewelry.
A trained accountant, Dan Greiner quit his job 6 years later to support his wife’s company, For Your Ease Only, where he served as vice president and chief financial officer, bringing his inventory skills to the table. Dan had worked as a divisional controller at Bell and Howell Corporation.
While Lori oversees the creation, sales, legal and business partner of her business, her husband, Dan, is detail-oriented and takes care of the parts, packaging and shipping of their many products. He is in no way emasculated by the fact that his wife is put in the spotlight.
As of this writing, Lori and her husband, DanGreiner don’t have any kids together, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love kids. We stumbled upon an interview she gave in 2014 when she shared that her love for children told her that her friends might drop them off at her house and she would be happy to host them.
