Matthew Solomon savagely strangled Lisa Solomon on Christmas Eve in 1987. Lisa was 22 years old at the time of her death.
Solomon called Lisa’s family on Christmas morning and said she had gone for a walk the night before and never returned.
He played the bereaved husband for six days, giving interviews to the media and asking people to bring Lisa home as extensive searches were being done.
Long Island Lisa Solomon Murder Update
Long Island Lisa Solomon was killed by her own husband, Matthew Solomon, in 1987. Matthew has been free on parole from Orange County, New York.
Sadly, one of Lisa’s relatives discovered her body while looking for her. When fibers were found close to Lisa’s body matched those from the trunk of Matthew’s car, he was charged with her murder.
Solomon was apprehended over 17 days later. He claimed the killing was an accident and was merely attempting to settle Lisa down following an argument in a videotaped confession.
The prosecutor’s forensic evidence indicated that Solomon strangled Lisa for about three minutes before she passed away.
Fortunately, the jury didn’t buy it. In February 1989, he started serving an 18-year TO LIFE sentence after being found guilty of second-degree murder and exhibiting a callous disregard for human life.
Where Is Her Killer Husband Matthew Solomon?
Matthew Solomon spent 30 years behind bars and had no remorse for his crimes against Lisa and her family.
Solomon has asked the New York Parole Board seven times for an early release. He claims to have changed his life each time.
Despite this, Solomon continued to behave violently as he did when choking Lisa. Even his ex-wife begged the parole committee to keep him in prison.
Upon his release, everyone who contacts him will reportedly become one of his targets. He was released in 2019 on parole.

In 2019, Matthew Solomon was 54 years old and will be 57 years old in 2022. Significantly less information is known about his early years and family background.
