She is known professionally as Liza Owen. The UK based artiste is one of the top pop singers in Europe.
She was previously a member of the girl band, The Dolly Rockers, before the band split up. Since she began a solo career, she has dropped wavy singles such as Josie, Why Aren’t We Having Sex and Written By.

Early Life
Liza Owen is of mixed race. Her father is British while her mum is from Cambodia, a Southeast Asian Country. She is very proud of her mixed heritage and identifies as a Cambodian. Because of her mother, she has Khmer ancestry.
Gifted with a unique voice, she decided that she wanted to become a singer since she was seven. Having noticed that she had a sonorous voice, the Owens registered Liza for music lessons. By age 13, she had already met with a producer and started recording music.
She has a very powerful voice which sets her apart from other artistes and draws from her cultural diversity in creating good music.
Education
Liza Owen studied at top schools in the UK for elementary and high school education. She passed out of high school with flying colors in her O’levels and A’levels.
Career
Liza Owen and two of her friends, Lucie Kay and Sophie King formed a music group and called themselves The Dolly Rockers. At age 14, she and her friends competed in the reality show, The X Factor. This was in 2006. She was signed to EMI Parlophone at age eighteen.
The band decided to split up in 2013 and Danielle decided to pursue a solo career. She chose a new stage name for herself and became known as Liza Owen.
In the past eight years, she has released a lot of hit singles, winning her many fans and securing herself a spot among UK’s leading Pop singers. She has dropped songs like Mind Blown, Young Guns and Better With Me. In the single, Young Guns, she samples a Buddhist monk’s voice who is chanting a prayer.
In November 2020, she was invited by MTV to perform on their live jam session which was aired on Instagram. 2020 saw Liza Owen release pop jams such as Getting Good, Starry Eyed and Why Aren’t We Having Sex.
Known for her entertaining music style, she has worked with many of the industry’s big names such as Dylan Brewer, Ryan Jay, Brendan O’Connor, Cory Burmester, Julian Bulian, Zachary Shea and John The Blind.
