The talented vocalist Lita Ford was born in Italy, although her parents are both English. The American performer likes songs from the heavy metal genre. She is thought to have a mezzo-soprano vocal range. She has released music both individually and with the now-defunct band The Runaways during her entire career. After having children, she took a 10-plus year vacation from singing in 1995. In 2008, she began performing again.
When the Runaways parted company with producer Fowley, lead singer Cherie Currie, and bassist Jackie Fox in 1977, internal tensions within the band were already in full swing. The band’s vocalist/guitarist Joan Jett sought to adopt a more Ramones-inspired punk rock sound.
