Twitter erupted after cameras panned over Wilson’s family, focusing on his mother, Lisa Wilson. The two shared an emotional moment when it was clear the Jets were going to select him.
Wilson’s mom also loaded up her Instagram with tons of photos and videos from the big night. Wilson made a bold statement after officially getting drafted by the Jets.

He attended Corner Canyon High School and passed for 2,986 yards and 24 touchdowns while also rushing for 752 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. Originally committed to play quarterback at Boise State University, he later de-committed and chose to attend Brigham Young University (BYU) instead.
